✦ SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:
(A) Elimination Test (Objective type – MCQs) (100 Marks- One and Half Hours):
(1) Question Paper of Elimination Test shall consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each of 1 Mark. For every wrong / multiple answer, there shall be Negative Marking of 0.33 Marks. Language of the Question Paper shall be English except Questions in Gujarati. Duration of the Elimination Test shall be One and Half Hours.
(2) Syllabus of Elimination Test:
(i) English Language
(ii) Gujarati Language
(iii) General Knowledge
(iv) Arithmetic
(v) Current Affairs
(vi) Indian History and Geography
(vii) Basics of Computer Applications
(viii) Sports
(ix) Analytical Reasoning
(x) Mental Ability etc.
(3) The Elimination Test may be conducted either at Ahmedabad or at any District place/places as may be decided by the High Court, depending upon the number of Candidates applying.
(4) Candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories, i.e. SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Differently Abled Persons [PH – only Orthopedically disabled] and Ex-Servicemen, shall have to secure minimum 55% Marks and all the other Candidates shall have to secure minimum 60% Marks in the Elimination Test and only those qualifying, shall be called for the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type).
(5) Marks obtained in the Elimination Test (Objective Type – MCQs) will not be considered for determining the merits, for preparing the Final Merit List.
(6) Evaluation of the OMR Sheets of the Elimination Test shall be evaluated on Computer, as per entries made in OMR Sheets. As the evaluation is done on the Computer by ‘Scanning’, thereby eliminating manual evaluation, ‘Rechecking’ or ‘Inspection’ of OMR Sheets, subsequent to Elimination Test, will not be entertained by the High Court. High Court reserves right to hold examination by any other mode also and if it so held, then also rechecking/re-evaluation request will not be entertained by the High Court.
(7) In case, large number of Candidate qualify in the Elimination Test, it will be open for the High Court to restrict the number of Candidates as deemed necessary, according to Merit.
(A) નાબૂદી કસોટી (ઉદ્દેશ પ્રકાર – MCQ) (100 ગુણ – દોઢ કલાક):
(1) એલિમિનેશન ટેસ્ટના પ્રશ્નપત્રમાં 100 બહુવિધ પસંદગીના પ્રશ્નો (MCQ) હશે, જેમાં પ્રત્યેકમાં 1 માર્ક હશે. દરેક ખોટા/બહુવિધ જવાબો માટે, 0.33 માર્ક્સનું નેગેટિવ માર્કિંગ હશે. ગુજરાતી પ્રશ્નો સિવાય પ્રશ્નપત્રની ભાષા અંગ્રેજી રહેશે. એલિમિનેશન ટેસ્ટનો સમયગાળો દોઢ કલાકનો રહેશે.
(2) નાબૂદી કસોટીનો અભ્યાસક્રમ :
- (i) અંગ્રેજી ભાષા
- (ii) ગુજરાતી ભાષા
- (iii) સામાન્ય જ્ઞાન
- (iv) અંકગણિત
- (v) વર્તમાન બાબતો
- (vi) ભારતીય ઇતિહાસ અને ભૂગોળ
- (vii) કમ્પ્યુટર એપ્લિકેશનની મૂળભૂત બાબતો
- (viii) રમતગમત
- (ix) વિશ્લેષણાત્મક તર્ક
- (x) માનસિક ક્ષમતા વગેરે.
(3) અરજી કરનારા ઉમેદવારોની સંખ્યાના આધારે હાઇકોર્ટ દ્વારા નિર્ણય લેવામાં આવે તે મુજબ, નાબૂદી કસોટી અમદાવાદ અથવા જિલ્લાના કોઈપણ સ્થળે યોજવામાં આવી શકે છે.
(4) અનામત કેટેગરીના ઉમેદવારો, એટલે કે SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, વિવિધ વિકલાંગ વ્યક્તિઓ [PH – માત્ર ઓર્થોપેડિકલી ડિસેબલ] અને ભૂતપૂર્વ સૈનિકો, ઓછામાં ઓછા 55% માર્કસ મેળવશે અને અન્ય તમામ ઉમેદવારોએ એલિમિનેશનમાં ઓછામાં ઓછા 60% માર્ક્સ પ્રાપ્ત કરવા જોઈએ. . ટેસ્ટ કરાવો અને માત્ર લાયકાત ધરાવતા ઉમેદવારોને જ મુખ્ય લેખિત કસોટી (વર્ણનાત્મક પ્રકાર) માટે બોલાવવામાં આવશે.
(5) નાબૂદી કસોટીમાં મેળવેલા ગુણ (ઉદ્દેશ પ્રકાર – MCQs) મેરિટ નક્કી કરવા, અંતિમ મેરિટ લિસ્ટ તૈયાર કરવા માટે ધ્યાનમાં લેવામાં આવશે નહીં.
(6) નાબૂદી કસોટીની OMR શીટ્સનું મૂલ્યાંકન કમ્પ્યુટર પરની OMR શીટ્સમાં કરવામાં આવેલી એન્ટ્રીઓ મુજબ કરવામાં આવશે. મૂલ્યાંકન કમ્પ્યુટર પર ‘સ્કેનિંગ’ દ્વારા કરવામાં આવે છે, તેથી મેન્યુઅલ મૂલ્યાંકન, ‘રીચેકિંગ’ અથવા OMR શીટ્સનું ‘નિરીક્ષણ’, એલિમિનેશન ટેસ્ટ પછી, હાઇકોર્ટ દ્વારા ધ્યાનમાં લેવામાં આવશે નહીં. હાઈકોર્ટ અન્ય કોઈપણ પદ્ધતિ દ્વારા પરીક્ષા યોજવાનો અધિકાર અનામત રાખે છે અને જો તે યોજવામાં આવે તો, પુનઃપરીક્ષા/પુનઃમૂલ્યાંકનની વિનંતી પણ હાઈકોર્ટ દ્વારા ધ્યાનમાં લેવામાં આવશે નહીં.
(7) જો મોટી સંખ્યામાં ઉમેદવારો નાબૂદી કસોટીમાં લાયક ઠરે છે, તો યોગ્યતા અનુસાર, જરૂરી ગણવામાં આવતા ઉમેદવારોની સંખ્યાને પ્રતિબંધિત કરવા માટે તે હાઇકોર્ટ સમક્ષ ખુલ્લું રહેશે.
(B) Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type) (60 Marks – 90 Minutes):
(1) The Candidates who qualify in the Elimination Test (Objective Type-MCQs) will have to appear in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type) of 60 Marks (Duration: 90 Minutes). Language of the Question Paper shall be English. Answers to Questions may be given in English, if not instructed otherwise. Which would be conducted at Ahmedabad or at any other place(s) that may be decided by the High Court.
(2) Syllabus of Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type):
(i) English Language
(ii) Gujarati Language
(iii) Basic Knowledge of Computer – Spreadsheet & Word Processing
(3) Candidates belonging to the Reserved Categories, i.e. SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, Differently Abled Persons [PH – only Orthopedically disabled] and Ex-Servicemen, shall have to secure minimum 45% Marks and all the other Candidates shall have to secure minimum 50% Marks in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type), in order to qualify for next stage of the Recruitment Process.
(4) In case, large number of Candidate qualify in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type), it will be open for the High Court to restrict the number of Candidates as deemed necessary, according to Merit.
(B) મુખ્ય લેખિત પરીક્ષા (વર્ણનાત્મક પ્રકાર) (60 ગુણ – 90 મિનિટ) (Gujarat High Court Assistant Main Exam Syllabus 2023):
(1) જે ઉમેદવારો એલિમિનેશન ટેસ્ટ (ઓબ્જેક્ટિવ ટાઈપ-MCQs) લાયક ઠરે છે તેમણે 60 ગુણ (સમયગાળો: 90 મિનિટ)ની મુખ્ય લેખિત કસોટી (વર્ણનાત્મક પ્રકાર)માં હાજર રહેવાનું રહેશે. પ્રશ્નપત્રની ભાષા અંગ્રેજી રહેશે. પ્રશ્નોના જવાબ અંગ્રેજીમાં આપી શકાય છે, સિવાય કે અન્યથા સૂચના આપવામાં આવી હોય. જે અમદાવાદ ખાતે અથવા હાઈકોર્ટ દ્વારા નક્કી થઈ શકે તેવા અન્ય સ્થળોએ યોજાશે.
(2) મુખ્ય લેખિત પરીક્ષાનો અભ્યાસક્રમ (વર્ણનાત્મક પ્રકાર):
- અંગ્રેજી ભાષા
- ગુજરાતી ભાષા
- મૂળભૂત કમ્પ્યુટર જ્ઞાન – સ્પ્રેડશીટ અને વર્ડ પ્રોસેસિંગ
(3) અનામત કેટેગરીના ઉમેદવારો, એટલે કે SC, ST, SEBC, EWS, વિવિધ રીતે વિકલાંગ વ્યક્તિઓ [PH – માત્ર ઓર્થોપેડિકલી ડિસેબલ] અને ભૂતપૂર્વ સૈનિકો, ઓછામાં ઓછા 45% ગુણ ધરાવતા હોવા જોઈએ અને અન્ય તમામ ઉમેદવારો આગામી માટે લાયક હોવા જોઈએ. ભરતી પ્રક્રિયાનો તબક્કો. તેથી, મુખ્ય લેખિત પરીક્ષા (વર્ણનાત્મક પ્રકાર) માં ઓછામાં ઓછા 50% ગુણ મેળવો.
(4) જો મોટી સંખ્યામાં ઉમેદવારો મુખ્ય લેખિત પરીક્ષા (વર્ણનાત્મક પ્રકાર) માટે લાયક ઠરે છે, તો તે યોગ્યતા અનુસાર જરૂરી માનવામાં આવતા ઉમેદવારોની સંખ્યાને પ્રતિબંધિત કરવા માટે હાઇકોર્ટ સમક્ષ ખુલ્લી રહેશે.
(C) Practical / Skill Test (Typing Test) (40 Marks – 10 Minutes):
(1) The Candidates who qualify in the Main Written Examination (Descriptive Type) will have to appear in the Typing Test of 40 Marks (Duration: 10 Minutes) on Computer (English and/or Gujarati as the case may be), at Ahmedabad or at any other place(s) that may be decided by the High Court.
(2) A Candidate shall have to secure minimum 40% Marks in the Practical / Skill Test (Typing Test), in order to qualify for next stage of the Recruitment Process.
(3) For Typing Test in Gujarati, the Candidates will be facilitated with ‘Gujarati Indic Input 3′(Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool) fonts and they can use any of the following Keyboard/Layout :

- In script
- Gujarati Typewriter (G)
- Typewriter
- Remington Indica
- Godrej Indica
- Gujarati Tera font

(C) પ્રેક્ટિકલ / સ્કિલ ટેસ્ટ (ટાઈપિંગ ટેસ્ટ) (40 માર્ક્સ – 10 મિનિટ):
(1) જે ઉમેદવારો મુખ્ય લેખિત પરીક્ષા (વર્ણનાત્મક પ્રકાર) લાયક ઠરે છે તેમણે અમદાવાદ ખાતે કોમ્પ્યુટર (અંગ્રેજી અને/અથવા ગુજરાતી) પર 40 ગુણ (સમયગાળો: 10 મિનિટ)ની ટાઈપિંગ ટેસ્ટમાં હાજર રહેવાનું રહેશે. અથવા હાઈકોર્ટ દ્વારા નક્કી કરવામાં આવે તે પ્રમાણે અન્ય કોઈપણ સ્થાન(ઓ) પર.
(2) ભરતી પ્રક્રિયાના આગલા તબક્કા માટે પાત્ર બનવા માટે ઉમેદવારોએ પ્રાયોગિક/કૌશલ્ય કસોટી (ટાઈપિંગ ટેસ્ટ)માં ઓછામાં ઓછા 40% ગુણ મેળવ્યા હોવા જોઈએ.
(3) ગુજરાતીમાં ટાઇપિંગ ટેસ્ટ માટે, ઉમેદવારોને ‘ગુજરાતી ઇન્ડિક ઇનપુટ 3’ (માઇક્રોસોફ્ટ ઇન્ડિક લેંગ્વેજ ઇનપુટ ટૂલ) ફોન્ટ્સ સાથે સુવિધા આપવામાં આવશે અને તેઓ નીચેનામાંથી કોઈપણ કીબોર્ડ/લેઆઉટનો ઉપયોગ કરી શકશે:
(i) લિવ્યંતરણ (ii) લિપિમાં
(iii) ગુજરાતી ટાઈપરાઈટર (G) (iv) ટાઈપરાઈટર
