High box office take Day 2: Despite limited screens, Amitabh Bachchan's film sees tremendous growth.
Sooraj Barjatya returns to direct a film after almost eight years and Height holds a special place for him as Rajshri Productions celebrates his 75th year.
The film also marks Barjatya's first collaboration with Amitabh Bachchan and stars Anupam Kher and Boman Irani in lead roles.
Unchai was released on limited screens and collided at the box office with two big-budget movies, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Yashoda.
According to business analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh, Uchhaai saw tremendous growth on the second day.
The film grossed around Rs 1.56 crore as of 4 pm on Saturday, which is almost 130 percent more than High's Friday box office take.
Despite the increase, the two-day box office numbers are low at around Rs 3.75-4 crore. However, more momentum can be seen in the film on Sunday.
According to Taran Adarsh, Unchachai grossed 1.81 crores on the first day at the box office. The film had only around 483 screens and 2-4 performances per day.
Announcing the film, Rajshri Productions wrote: "The biggest announcement of our Diamond Jubilee Year! The Height will be on 11.11.22 in a cinema near you.
